Situated centrally between Seattle and Portland.
- Served by two I-5 interchanges and near egional hospital, community college, shopping and residential districts.
- Tax Relief – Due to the impacts of timber harvest reductions, Lewis County has been included in a number of financial incentive programs to assist companies choosing to locate here.
- Labor Force – Our labor force is no stranger to hard work. Raised on the timber and agricultural industries, we have large numbers of excellent workers available to new industries.
- Education – Centralia College is the state’s oldest community college. Two-year associate degrees covering 40 disciplines are offered. Lewis County students consistently score above average on national standardized tests.
- Quality of Life – Lewis County is one of the most beautiful places in the country. It offers excellent recreation and cultural activities.
- Highway – Located directly off I-5 for north-south trucking. A proposed new interchange with direct access to the Port is in the design stage. For eastbound traffic, Highway 12 is located approximately 8 miles south.
- Rail – The Port offers access to main north-south rail line services by both Burlington Northern and Union Pacific. Rail spurs can be extended to sites as needed.
- Air – The Chehalis/Centralia Airport has a 5000 foot runway and is located approximately 4 miles from the Port. The area is 70 miles from the International Airports of Seattle and Portland.
- Sea – There are several deep water container ports as close as 60 miles from the Park, including Tacoma, Seattle, and Portland.
- Land/Permits – Lewis County offers a streamlined permit process – often issued within 15 business days. We offer a pro-business and development climate with cooperation between business and government.
- Electric – The Lewis County Public Utility District, supplier to The Port of Chehalis, can meet virtually all voltage requirements for manufacturing and industrial applications with single and three-phase power. They operate with a reliable looped distribution system with some of the most competitive rates in the nation.
- Gas – Natural gas supplies are available through an industrial capacity line to all Port sites provided by the Puget Sound Energy Company.
- Water/Sewer – The City of Chehalis provides municipal water and sewage disposal service to the sites within the Port’s boundaries. Fire flow water availability is excellent for industrial and warehouse facilities.
